Pokhara, 5 October | Due to continuous rainfall, the water flow in major rivers—the Kosi, Kankai, and Bagmati—has exceeded the danger level. According to the Nepal Flood Information, the flow in these three main rivers, along with their tributaries, crossed the safety threshold at 6 AM on Sunday morning. This significant increase in the river levels poses a high risk of floods and inundation in the adjacent areas.

Authorities have urged residents in the riparian areas and potentially flood-prone regions to exercise extreme caution. A high alert has been requested to be maintained until Sunday evening, as the water flow may continue to rise. The flood information system appeals to everyone to remain in safe locations and implement necessary safety measures immediately to mitigate the risk of loss and damage. Continuous monitoring of the river flow and water level is being carried out by the relevant agencies to provide timely updates.
