Pokhara, 19 March| Rastriya Swatantra Party chief Ravi Lamichhane has formally apologized for the absence of Rai and Limbu community representation from his party in the House of Representatives. Addressing an orientation program organized by the party on Thursday, Lamichhane expressed regret over the shortfall in inclusive representation.

He stated, “With deep regret, I apologize that our party could not ensure representation for the Rai and Limbu communities in this term of the House of Representatives. As party chief, I seek forgiveness and pledge to prioritize this important aspect of inclusion in the days ahead.” His remarks signal a commitment to strengthen inclusivity within the party and to address disparities in representation going forward.

Political analysts suggest that this acknowledgment aims to reinforce the party’s relations with various ethnic communities and ensure their participation in future elections and policy-making processes. Observers note that Lamichhane’s apology could enhance trust among marginalized groups and party members, while also reflecting a broader strategy to institutionalize inclusivity. Party members and community representatives have welcomed the statement as a positive step toward addressing representation gaps and fostering equitable political engagement.
