Pokhara, 10 July. Nabin Paudel has officially announced his candidacy for the position of Secretary in the upcoming Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Australia Capital Territory (ACT) Chapter election for the 2025–2027 term. The election is scheduled to take place on July 26, and Paudel has formally registered his nomination.

Paudel, a well-known figure within the Nepali community in Canberra, has been actively involved in various social and community initiatives over the years. His engagement with the community dates back to his role as an IT support member at the Australian Nepalese Formality Society (ANFS) from 2017 to 2019. He later served as the Youth and Student Coordinator at ANFS from 2020 to 2022. In addition to these responsibilities, he has also volunteered at multiple events organized by the Federation of Nepalese Communities in Australia (FENCA), demonstrating consistent involvement and dedication.

Furthermore, Paudel has played an important role in the NRNA ACT elections over the past two terms by contributing as part of the election team. His active participation in community events throughout Canberra has helped build strong connections and trust among the Nepali diaspora.

Professionally, Paudel serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Education and Migration Australia and is a registered migration agent. In this capacity, he has assisted new migrants and international students by providing guidance on employment opportunities, training options, and settlement processes. He plans to continue leveraging this experience to strengthen and empower the Nepali community in ACT if elected to the Secretary position.

Speaking to Recent News Nepal, Paudel emphasized his long-standing commitment to the NRNA movement and his desire to contribute at a leadership level. “I have been involved in the NRNA campaign for many years. Now, I believe it is time to serve the community and the nation from a leadership role,” he stated.

Paudel highlighted his core agenda, which includes unity among the diaspora, continuation of citizenship rights for descendants of Nepali origin, and contributing to Nepal’s prosperity from abroad. He is widely regarded as an intellectual and humble activist in Canberra’s Nepali society. Known for his results-driven approach rather than mere publicity, Paudel has earned respect across various community circles for his sincerity and vision.
