Pokhara, 12 February | The Coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ has directed his party leaders and cadres to mobilize fully for the upcoming House of Representatives elections, scheduled for 5 March (Falgun 21). Addressing a district-level party gathering in Pokhara today, Dahal emphasized that the elections would take place as scheduled and urged everyone to clear any doubts regarding the election date. He specifically requested the party rank and file to dedicate the next three weeks entirely to the party’s campaign and organizational activities.

Highlighting the unique political climate following the ‘Gen-Z’ movement, Dahal noted that the upcoming polls are being held under extraordinary circumstances. He stressed that the results must favor the NCP to steer the nation in the right direction and called upon supporters across the country to be proactive in their respective regions. “It is essential for leaders, workers, and well-wishers to work tirelessly from today to ensure victory for our candidates and bring a favorable outcome for the party,” Dahal stated during his keynote address.

Addressing rumors of potential political mergers, the Coordinator warned cadres against misinformation claiming that the NCP might withdraw its candidates in favor of alliances with other parties. He clarified that the party has no intention of forming any electoral equations or alliances in the current election cycle. Dahal asserted that the NCP aims to become the largest party in Parliament by standing on its own strength and winning the trust of the general public. He concluded by urging the party members to remain vigilant and focused on the campaign to translate the public’s support into a decisive electoral victory.
