Pokhara, 8 September | Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has said he will continue to uphold the trust placed in him by party chairperson Rabi Lamichhane. Addressing a programme organised in Kathmandu in memory of the Gen Z martyrs, Gurung said he remained committed to protecting the hopes raised by the Gen Z movement and demonstrating what good governance could achieve.
He said Lamichhane had trusted him with the responsibility of ensuring that the aspirations of the Gen Z movement would not fade. Gurung stated that he wanted to maintain that confidence and fulfil his responsibilities through effective governance and public service.
The Home Minister also said he viewed himself not only as a minister but as a brother and son of the people. Expressing confidence about public safety, he said no one would dare to create a situation in which another shooting could take place in the country. Gurung assured the public that he would continue working to honour the trust placed in him.
