Pokhara, 12 February | Renowned Nepali action star Nikhil Upreti is making a significant comeback to the film industry with his latest project titled ‘Kasturi.’ Immediately after wrapping up the shoot for his directorial venture ‘Acharya,’ Upreti joined the sets of ‘Kasturi,’ which officially commenced filming on Tuesday following a traditional inaugural ceremony at the Bangalamukhi Temple in Lalitpur. This movie marks the first professional collaboration between Nikhil Upreti and actress Barsha Siwakoti, creating high expectations among fans of Nepali cinema for this fresh pairing.
Written and directed by Reet Bohora, ‘Kasturi’ is categorized as a crime suspense thriller. According to the director, the production team plans to carry out the entire filming process within the Kathmandu Valley. Alongside Upreti and Siwakoti, the film features an ensemble cast including Nirmal Sharma, Nisha Adhikari, Bholaraj Sapkota, and Arjun Gurung. Produced by Dhiraj Kumar Agrawal under the banner of Ten Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., this project signifies Upreti’s return to the screen after a seven-year hiatus since his 2018 film ‘Villain.’ Following the completion of ‘Kasturi,’ Upreti is scheduled to begin work on another anticipated project titled ‘Paras.’
