Pokhara, 17 August | The Narayangadh-Mugling road section has been blocked by a dry landslide that occurred this morning near Tuinkhola in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5, Chitwan. According to Rabindra Khanal, Information Officer at the Chitwan District Police Office, rocks and debris fell from above, causing a complete halt to traffic in both directions. Two excavators (JCBs) are currently working to clear the landslide, but since rocks are still intermittently falling, it is expected to take some time before the road can be fully reopened.

One person was injured in the incident. Sandeep Rijal, a resident of Ratnanagar Municipality-3, Chitwan, was on a scooter (Ba. Pra. 06-003 Pa 3816) heading from Narayangadh towards Mugling when a falling rock struck him. Police have stated that his condition is moderate, and he has been sent for medical treatment. The road blockage has left numerous vehicles stranded, causing inconvenience for travelers heading to their destinations.
