Pokhara, 20 July – A landslide in Parbat district has tragically buried a single-story house, leaving two members of the same family missing. The incident occurred in Langdi, Deurali, Modi Rural Municipality-3, where 76-year-old Chhabilal Bishwakarma and his wife, 76-year-old Bishnumati, were reportedly trapped.
According to Ward Chairman Devendra Bahadur Kshetri, their daughter-in-law, 32-year-old Pavitra, managed to escape by jumping to safety. The continuous rainfall has also caused significant damage to roads and agricultural land in the area. Furthermore, the swollen rivers in this heavily rain-affected region have exceeded dangerous water levels, posing additional threats.
