Pokhara, 7 December| Preparations for the CPN-UML’s 11th National Convention, which is set to be inaugurated on December 13 (Mangsir 27) at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, are underway, with Chairman K.P. Sharma Oli dispatching letters to party members urging their participation. Dr. Rajan Bhattarai, In-charge of Bagmati Province and Secretary of the Convention’s Mass Mobilization Committee, stated that the letter from Chairman Oli aims to emphasize the need for all pro-democracy forces to unite.
Chairman Oli stressed that the convention must be transformed into a crucial opportunity to demonstrate the solidarity of the people against the prevailing crisis facing nationality, democracy, and the constitution. He described the current political situation as a “time of serious challenges.” Oli characterized the UML as the guardian of national pride, the torchbearer of democracy, the harbinger of social justice and security, the champion of good governance and development, and the party committed to realizing the dream of a ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.’ Dr. Bhattarai further informed that for the inauguration, scheduled for 12:30 PM on December 13, the UML plans to ensure a large presence of cadres and general public from Bagmati, Gandaki, and Madhesh provinces.
