Pokhara, 25 December| Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Mahabir Pun has stated that the key to the nation’s prosperity lies firmly in the hands of the youth. While addressing the convocation ceremony held at Dasharath Stadium on Thursday, Minister Pun extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students. He described their academic degrees as symbols of victory achieved through constant curiosity, hard work, and the resilience to overcome failures. He emphasized that in the 21st century, the world will prioritize an individual’s practical capabilities over their formal degrees, urging graduates to constantly ask themselves how their skills can solve societal problems.

Minister Pun further highlighted the government’s commitment to linking academic laboratories and workshops directly with the national economy. He asserted that Nepal cannot become self-reliant until its natural resources, including water, minerals, and biodiversity, along with traditional knowledge, are integrated with practical research and entrepreneurship. He called upon the youth to become the heartbeat of a self-sustaining economy and to act as a bridge between technology, economic strength, and social development. The Minister expressed high confidence that the graduates would understand this vital essence and contribute significantly to building a prosperous and independent nation through innovation and dedicated efforts.
