Pokhara, 28 January | Tribhuvan University (TU), Office of the Controller of Examinations, Balkhu, has announced that the 3-year Bachelor’s level 3rd-year chance examinations for the year 2081 will now be conducted starting from 8 February 2026 (25 Magh 2082) through regional centers. Previously, as per the decision of the TU Central Examination Operation Committee, the chance exams for the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, Education, Management, and the Institute of Science and Technology were scheduled to be held exclusively in Kathmandu starting from 1 February (18 Magh). However, the university decided to decentralize the examination process after considering the logistical difficulties and financial burden faced by students traveling from outside the capital.
According to the official notice issued by the Examination Control Office, there will now be at least one examination center under each Regional Examination Control Office. This decision is expected to provide significant relief to candidates living in remote and provincial areas, saving them from high travel and accommodation costs in Kathmandu. By enabling students to appear for their chance exams closer to their home districts, the university aims to make the academic process more accessible and student-friendly. Detailed information regarding specific exam centers and schedules will be managed and disseminated through the respective regional offices.
