Pokhara, 30 January | Dr. Swarnim Wagle, the Vice-President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has asserted that his party stands as a formidable shield for Nepal’s Sanatan civilization and its pluralistic society. Clarifying the party’s ideological stance through a Facebook post on Friday morning, Dr. Wagle refuted various allegations aimed at him and his organization. He emphasized that the RSP is deeply committed to protecting traditional values while fostering a liberal, tolerant, and advanced democracy. Despite the party’s clear vision regarding the coexistence of heritage and modern democratic principles, Dr. Wagle criticized political opponents for deliberately spreading misinformation to create public confusion.

Furthermore, Dr. Wagle urged the general public and critics to form their opinions based on the party’s official documents rather than hearsay. He highlighted that the RSP’s pride in Nepal’s history and its ancient Sanatan civilization is explicitly documented in their foundational manifestos. By encouraging a thorough reading of these policy papers, he argued that the party’s stance on pluralism and cultural preservation is transparent and leaves no room for doubt. According to him, the RSP aims to lead the nation by balancing respect for ancestral roots with the necessities of contemporary governance.
